When we first started building our business, we knew one thing for certain: we didn't want to be just another DJ company.
There are countless entertainment businesses with names that focus solely on music, parties, or weddings. While there's nothing wrong with that, we wanted a name that represented something bigger than simply playing songs at events.
We wanted a name that reflected who we are, how we work, and the experience we strive to create for every client.
That's why we chose the name Vanguard Events & Entertainment.
What Does "Vanguard" Mean?
The word vanguard has a rich history. Traditionally, it referred to the leading part of an advancing army—the group at the front that helped guide the way forward.
Today, the meaning has evolved.
The dictionary defines vanguard as:
"A person or organisation that is at the forefront of new developments, ideas, or leadership within a particular field."
In simple terms, a vanguard is a leader. A pioneer. Someone who sets the standard rather than follows it.
When we discovered the meaning behind the word, it immediately resonated with us.
