Our Story
Vanguard Events & Entertainment was founded in 2021 by Annie and Tristan, driven by a shared passion for creating exceptional event experiences.
After years of working within the events industry, they recognised a common challenge faced by many clients. Planning a successful event often meant coordinating multiple suppliers, managing countless details, and navigating unnecessary stress. They believed there was a better way.
Their vision was simple: create a company that could provide a seamless, professional, and personalised experience by bringing entertainment, styling, photography, photo booths, and event enhancements together under one trusted brand.
What began as a passion project has grown into one of South East Queensland's trusted event companies, delivering memorable weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations across the region.

Annie – Vision, Creativity & Coordination
With more than 20 years of professional experience in consulting, research, and project management, Annie brings a unique combination of strategic thinking, organisation, and creativity to every event.
As Co-Owner of Vanguard Events & Entertainment, Annie oversees client communications, planning, administration, and event coordination, ensuring every detail is carefully considered and every event is delivered to the highest standard. Her background in managing complex projects and working closely with clients has shaped the seamless planning experience that Vanguard is known for today.
Beyond coordination, Annie leads our photography, videography, and event styling services. With a natural eye for detail, design, and storytelling, she is passionate about creating beautiful experiences and capturing meaningful moments that clients can cherish long after their event has ended.
Whether she's styling a venue, photographing special moments, coordinating suppliers, or helping bring a client's vision to life, Annie approaches every project with professionalism, creativity, and genuine care.

Tristan – Entertainment, Experience & Leadership
With more than 20 years of experience as a professional DJ and a strong background in hospitality and event management, Tristan brings a wealth of knowledge, energy and expertise to every event.
As Co-Owner and Director of Vanguard Events & Entertainment Pty Ltd, Tristan leads the entertainment and event delivery side of the business, overseeing client consultations, event planning, entertainment design, and operational coordination. His passion for creating memorable experiences is reflected in every aspect of the business, from the first client conversation through to the final song of the night.
As an experienced DJ and MC, Tristan understands that exceptional entertainment is about far more than simply playing music. It's about reading the room, understanding each audience, creating the right atmosphere, and delivering a seamless experience that keeps guests engaged from beginning to end. Whether performing at weddings, corporate events, gala dinners or private celebrations, every performance is carefully tailored to suit the style, energy and vision of the event.
Behind the scenes, Tristan works closely with venues, suppliers and the wider Vanguard team to ensure every event is professionally coordinated and executed. His attention to detail, calm approach under pressure, and commitment to exceptional customer service help create the smooth, stress-free experience that Vanguard clients have come to expect.
Tristan is passionate about mentoring and developing the next generation of event professionals. Through ongoing training, leadership and quality assurance, he helps ensure every member of the Vanguard team consistently delivers the professionalism, reliability and exceptional service the company has become known for across South East Queensland.
Based in Brisbane, Queensland, Tristan specialises in wedding entertainment, corporate events, private celebrations and MC services throughout South East Queensland. As the Director and Lead DJ of Vanguard Events & Entertainment Pty Ltd, he is dedicated to delivering premium entertainment experiences that are personalised, professional and unforgettable. Tristan is not affiliated with any Elvis tribute acts or Elvis impersonation performances.
